Another Change At The Dome? Lemmee See!!

Well, it’s a new day…and I don’t know about the weather where you are, but it’s bright and sunny and warm here and I’m working on the patio today.  But ya know what?  It doesn’t really matter what the weather’s like outside because….well, it’s a new day!  Anything could happen!  The possibilities are endless!

I told you all in the email I sent on Monday (In case you didn’t open it!) that I was going to either make some changes around this place or put it up for sale.  And I just can’t do it.  There’s no way I can sell the dome.  I even had the listing started on Flippa and I couldn’t go through with it.  This is the place I come to when I need a break.  This is my haven, my home.  I don’t care if anyone ever reads it, when you have a place you feel comfortable coming home to, you can’t let it go.  I’ve been moving around all my life, from one town to another and I like where I’m living now…both in the real world and in cyberspace.  So instead of moving out, I’m just gonna clean this place up.  I started with the kitchen yesterday and today…

It’s time to makeover the ‘Dome!

It was only a matter of time, folks.  If you read my last post about Publishing Your Blogs on Kindle then you’ll appreciate THIS POST I found this morning – less the 48 hours later!  As reported in The Inquisitr – Amazon is releasing a Kindle App for the iPad which means that whether they have a Kindle or an iPad, readers will be able to get your blog on either device – But only if you publish it!

AND – Here’s another post I found this morning – The Kindle Blog Report.  And who’s that little Pink Haired Girl in that picture?  It’s Beamer!  Blogger Ms. Cairo gave 97 Dollar Ebooks – The WSO Battledome a big thumbs up in her review this morning and I thank her very much.  The publicity is very nice but more important it gave me a chance to link to her blog again and show you guys what she’s doing and how stuff like that can effect your blogs.

If you look at the content on her blog Ms. Cairo is not a flash in the pan blogger.  She has close to 200 posts on that blog just for March and the content that she’s added to this blog just since I tripped over her a few days ago has nearly doubled.   With the name Kindle in her blog title and domain name, and the way she’s building this blog and promoting it, this blog is bound to be a highly visible piece of real estate soon.  So how valuable do you think that review of The Battledome is going to be?  A lot more valuable than a few bookmarks on some obscure social bookmarking site that’s for sure!  And look – she has nary a keyword in site!  Imagine that!

Publish Your Blog On Kindles And iPhones

Publish Your Blog On Kindles

If you’re on my list you got an email from me the other day that told you how to publish your blog for Kindle readers at Amazon.  I didn’t go into a whole lot of detail because for one thing, I’m buried in writing right now and for another I know how you all hate long emails.  But I did want you to know about it because I think it’s an awesome idea!

Do you know how many Kindle readers there are out there?!  Neither do I – because Amazon isn’t really saying.  But they do put the number somewhere in the MILLIONS.  Now, I know Apple is releasing the iPad in less than a month but it’s going to be a while before all of those millions of people who already own a Kindle decide to cough up 7 or 8 hundred bucks for an iPad.  And in the meantime, Amazon is going to be pushing the Kindle harder than ever.  In fact, I think I just had an email the other day that said they dropped the price again.

So if millions of people are using their Kindle to get their news and reading material everyday – how cool would it be for you to stick your blog right under their nose?  Think about it – that reader you have who only stops by once a month or so is probably on that Kindle every day either reading their favorite novel or getting their news for the day.  If they could also get your blog on that Kindle they’d probably be reading it a lot more than once a month.

Yeah, I know that sounds like so much smoke and you don’t like where I’m blowing it, but Five Days To Freedom really is the best internet marketing guide I’ve ever seen for teaching you how to make money with affiliate marketing.  And have you EVER in your life seen so many keywords in one sentence! ROFLMAO!  I just read back over that and it’s hilarious – I’m going to leave it there on purpose and see what it does to the spiders.  They’re probably all spinning around right about now and wondering what the he** is going on up there!

7Anyway, it’s officially the end of Day Seven so that means one week down and 21 days left to go.  There’s absolutely no way I’ll ever get caught up at this point but at least I’m sticking with it and I’m seeing results.

For example:

4It’s Day Four of my Five Days To Freedom personal challenge and I’m still alive and kickin’.  I even FINALLY managed to get my Squidoo Lens started and published.  I have to take some time and read more of the book.  I’m not sure if I’m supposed to set up a new Squidoo lens every day or just keep adding to the one.  It makes more sense to do a new one every day but I’ll see what Mike says.  I want to make sure I follow this plan as closely as I can.

So here’s where I’m at – 2 blog posts on Blogger, 2 blog posts on Wordpress, 4 blog posts here, 1 Squidoo lens, and 2 article submitted to Ezine.

I gotta tell ya I’ve never liked working on Squidoo and I don’t like Ezine either.  I know they’re good for backlinks with authority I just think sometimes they both think they’re just a little bit better than everybody else and it kinda gets on my nerves that they demand so much more.  But I guess that’s why links coming from those two sites carry so much authority – they demand quality content from their authors.  Makes sense – just frustrating.

A Message To Grace

Hi Grace!  Good to see you again!  Your comment that you left got me to thinking and you know me….that s**t hurts!  So to ease the pain I thought I’d write up a quick post for you and anybody else who might be lurking about.

If you have an extra domain lying around I highly recommend setting up a personal blog.  And if you don’t then just set it up on a sub-domain.  If you want to blog about a specific topic then you can do a bit of keyword research for the domain name but obviously, by looking at those blogs I showed you in that other post those people aren’t paying any attention to keywords in their domain names.  And look at the address bar for this page that you’re on right now.  It says ‘97dollarebooks.com/blog.  When I decided I wanted a blog I didn’t want to buy another domain name so I just tacked it on my 97 Dollar Ebooks domain.

But here’s why I think everyone should have some

Five Days To Freedom – Day Three

Well, it’s Day Three of my Five Days To Freedom self challenge.  Can I maintain this pace, and maybe even pick it up a bit, for the next 28 days?  That remains to be seen.   I’ve only completed 2 days and I feel like I’m beating my head against a brick wall here.  If I don’t get some of this stuff off my desk soon, I’ll never make it.  Good news though.  After less 48 hours at this I’m already ranking #6 on Google page one for “Five Days To Freedom”.  So not too shabby.  I have a feeling that this is going to work!

I’ve got the Blogger Blog going now as well as the Wordpress blog.  And so far, I’ve managed to post an article to Ezine every day, too.  Plus the posts you see here.

But I also jut picked up another blog that I’ll be posting on regularly.  Check it out – Discerning Image.  It’s not my blog but it belongs to a good friend of mine and if you read some of the posts that HE put up you’ll see that he needs a little help in the writing department.

The Second Day Of Five Days To Freedom

Well, it’s Day Two on my Five Days To Freedom journey for those of you who didn’t catch that in the title.  I can see this is going to be easy in some ways and very difficult in others.  Let me explain so I don’t scare you off.

Yesterday I managed to get my blog post done, and it looks like I’ll get there again today.  I also set up a Squidoo Lens, a Blogger Blog and a Wordpress Blog.  Now, by ’set up’ I mean I logged on, registered, and got the domains.  And that’s as far as I got.

I also wrote one article and posted it to Ezine.  Why Ezine when I’ve got this fabulous linking offer going on that could generate hundreds of backlinks for my new venture if I’d only take advantage of my own services?  Well, first of all, I didn’t have time to spin it out – even for my own site.   And secondly, I’m trying to test something here.  I want to see the value of one Ezine article submissions versus hundreds of lesser ranking submissions.  I have a theory….but we’ll get into that later after I test my results.

Five Days To Freedom – Day One

Five Days To Freedom. Sounds intriguing doesn’t it.  When you say it, all sorts of images come to mind.  Freedom from oppression,  freedom from prison, freedom from slavery.  The word “Freedom” is usually used to express a positive result, or the hope of a positive result.  That result being the release or escape from a negative situation, one in which you are held captive, generally against your will.

Five Days To Freedom. What better name then for a product that promises to release you from slavery and free you from the oppressive prison cell you call a cubicle – a JOB.  I like it.  The name works.

Now let’s see if the program delivers on it’s promise.
