The Challenge – To Make $1000 Within 24 Hours

I’ve gotten into a little routine here. I like to make every minute count, so, as I’m drinking my morning coffee, I cruise the Warrior Forum. I’m usually not awake enough to start working until I have a coupla cuppas, so I use my coffee time to see if there’s anything new and interesting going on. This is also the time of day when I buy WSOs that I’ve been looking at because I actually have time to read them and file them somewhere where they won’t get lost. Later in the day? Forget it. I never get back to them and they end up lost on one of my drives.

So, this morning I’m doing my usual spin around the WSOs and I see another one of those “Buy THIS and I GUARANTEE You Will Make $1000.00 In 24 Hours!” titles. Now, up to this point, I have always steered clear of these WSOs. Like every other newbie out there, in the beginning I wasted enough money on these offers to feed a small country. But there weren’t many new WSOs that I hadn’t already checked out and I decided to see what this guy had to offer.

It started off with the usual, “I’m going to show you how I made…” and “If you follow my exact steps…”. Yeah, yeah, S.S.D.D.

But then I really started paying attention to this thing and by the time I was done reading it, I actually believed I could make $1000.00 in 24 Hours.

Now, don’t read more into that than what I wrote. I said I think I can make $1000 in 24 hours. I did NOT say I would make $1000.00 within the NEXT 24 hours. And I think that’s where some of the misconception lies. I think that perceived thought, that you can make $1000.00 within the next 24 hours, is what leads so many people to failure when they buy these types of WSOs.

Very few people, experienced or not, have the tenacity and dedication to sit down and work non-stop at a project for 24 hours straight. And even if they did, there comes a point when exhaustion takes over and productivity stops. Most of these programs present information and a step-by-step program that a newbie to internet marketing would not be able to follow in only 24 hours. They won’t be familiar with the processes involved in all of the steps, so there will be a time consuming learning curve involved. And since they aren’t familiar with all of those processes, they also aren’t able to visualize the steps and work, in a timely fashion, according to the plan. So, at the end of the day, which is how most people view a 24 hour period, when they don’t see a pile of one thousand one dollar bills sitting on their desk, they throw up their hands and complain about having purchased another worthless WSO.

Even an experienced internet marketer probably won’t sit down and commit 24 hours straight to this type of project. For one thing, there’s still the matter of exhaustion setting in and secondly, they usually have more than one ongoing project that will prevent them from taking an entire 24 hour period away from their work.

Plus, there’s still the perception, or misconception, that 24 Hours is One Day’s Work. Which is simply not the case. How many of us sit at our desks for twenty four straight hours, never rising, never eating, never sleeping? You’d have to get up a least a couple of times for a potty break! If you only work 8 hours a day, it will take 3 day’s of work to total 24 hours. If you can only spare one hour a day for a 24 hour project, it will take you 24 days to complete the project. Assuming, of course, you have the necessary knowledge to complete the necessary steps in the time allotted.

The more I thought about it, the more I thought that this guy’s approach seemed to have a huge potential for success and that I might like to try it. At this point in my IM career, I’ve learned enough to be able to visualize his concept. I can see how, if you follow his plan from start to finish, this might actually work. And I know enough to be able to implement each of his steps now, too, which I believe plays a big part in whether you can succeed at these “Get Money NOW!” type WSOs. Most people want instant gratification, or at least timely gratification. And if there is a huge learning curve involved, they’re apt to look at it as another insurmountable obstacle on their path to success and throw up their hands in defeat.

I, on the other hand, feel the need for a challenge today. Don’t ask me why, but something about this WSO made me feel like this guy was daring me to try his method. I think he put one of those subliminal messages in there somewhere that says, “Oh yeah? Go ahead! I dare ya! Follow my step-by-step plan and prove to me that you CAN’T make $1000.00 in 24 hours!” Which is actually a reverse psychology subliminal message – the worst kind! It’s a challenge that I can’t possibly win. I either prove he’s wrong and I DON’T make $1000.00 in 24 hours, or I prove him right and I do!

So here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to start with Step One of this guy’s program and I’m going to follow it exactly as he has it written. I’m going to keep track of every single minute I spend trying to earn $1000.00 in 24 Hours. And to keep myself motivated, I’m going to publish my every move right here on the internet for the whole Warrior Forum to watch. No, I’m not going to charge any admission to this event. I’m just doing it so I’ll stay motivated to see this thing through all the way to the bank at the end of the rainbow.

Now don’t be coming back here in 24 hours expecting to see a page full of dollar signs. As you can see from this website I’m throwing this up on, I have a business to run here and people are relying on me to finish up their products in a timely fashion. But I do guarantee you that there will be daily progress recorded here because I am dedicated to seeing this thing through. This is a personal challenge to see if I can really make $1000.00 in 24 Hours and we all know how we feel when we issue ourselves a personal challenge. I will not give up on this quest!
