Good Morning!

I’ll start off by saying – I hope your team won!  I’m not a pro-football fan, and I don’t watch TV, so I have no idea who was playing.  But if you had a dog in that fight, I hope he came out a winner.

For those of you who might be getting a little bored with all this Giveaway stuff – never fear!  I’m about to move it all over to it’s own site.  I’m just waiting on the graphics and the TIME.  Yeah, I’m having this one professionally designed, so we’ll have to see how it turns out.  I’m taking some advice and starting to outsource some stuff.

Anyway, there are a lot of you out there who open my emails and click on the link to come to the ‘Dome to read about Giveaway stuff.  So, I’m going to keep answering questions here until I get the new site ready.

Today, I’m going to explain a little bit about the sign up process…

Seriously, though, the reason I’ve become SUCH a big advocate of these Giveaways is because I can see the results – of course the most important results are the results I’m seeing in my Clickbank and Paypal accounts – but my Aweber results are pretty cool, too.  I can see my list growing almost hourly – which is the reason we’re doing this, right?

So, I thought you guys might like to take a look at my Aweber stats for the last 25 days – that how long I’ve been at this – since January 13, a day that will go down in infamy.

These are 4 of the Freebies I’ve been giving away…

Here’s How I See It:

• Added 264 New Subscribers in 25 days for a total list now of 1,162 members
  
• Cost – $00.00 – Even though I always pay for the top upgrade, I’ve always made that money back in the first sale or two
• Time – I’m not gonna lie to ya, I’ve got a LOT of time invested in this right now.  HOWEVER – now that I know what I’m doing, I can sign up for a giveaway and have everything loaded up in an hour or two.
  
• Promotion – The only promotion I’ve done is to you ‘Domers.  I haven’t gone off site with this yet.  I want to get the new site set up first and I want to make sure I’ve go all the bugs ironed out.

Yeah, but how much money are ya makin’?

OK, since I always pay to upgrade, I figure I’ve spent $40 so far, because I’ve been in 4 Giveaways now and that’s the average price for the top upgrades.  In each Giveaway, I’ve had at least one sale averaging $10, so my upgrade investment is covered.

Sales – I don’t remember what day it was, but I sent ya’ll an email the other day that said I had made $81 in sales that day.  Plus, I’ve had a couple of other $17 sales here and there.  Not GREAT results – not YET anyway – but I’ll take it.  I’m moving in the right direction and I’m pleased.

You have to keep in mind that I haven’t really tried to promote anything other than ebooks and articles.  I haven’t actually tried to SELL something.  You’ve all been seeing an increase in emails from me, but until I started these Giveaways, the only thing I used my Aweber account for was to tell you guys I’d done another post in the ‘Dome.

Another thing to keep in mind is the overall promotion of the Giveaway.  You see the emails that I send you, but I have no idea, really, how many other contributors there are and if THEY are sending emails to their lists.  They’d be pretty stupid not to, but, hey, who am I to judge?

PLUS – each Giveaway is organized differently.  Some you can enter 2 gifts, some 3 or 4, or even 5.  Some,  you can enter 2 OTOs, some 3 or 4.  And some offer prizes for the contributors who bring in the most members or have the most sales, etc.  They each have a different theme, there might be a holiday involved when fewer people are online or the giveaway organizer might really do an awesome job of promoting the giveaway himself – THANKS PAUL TEAGUE! (I love Paul!)

I’m finding that there are a lot of factors involved.  Including your gift!  If your gift isn’t something unique or attractive or something they’re interested in, they may click on it, but they don’t sign up.  Yes, there are all kinds of stats available to you so you can track EVERYTHING.

Anyway, that’s why I’m setting up a site for Giveaways.  There’s just sooooo many things to consider and even with my bumbling around, I’ve already learned a lot and I’m seeing results.  Right now, an average of 40 people a day click on links that I send in my emails.  I’m not talking about people who are getting my free gifts at the Giveaway.  I’m talking about those emails that I send out to my growing list  just about everyday.  40 people a day clicking on your link might not sound like a lot, BUT – even if my conversion rate is only 1%, that’s a sale every 2 1/2 days.  Are YOU getting a sale every 2 1/2 days?

Now I have so much MORE to learn!  I have to learn how to manage these lists, and how to write an email that will convert, and how to write a sales page that will convert even more.  But hey, that’s what this is all about, right?

Here’s my advice for you today:

Go Here and get a copy of a free report I’ve got listed on this Giveaway. Yes, this is a shameless attempt to get you to go visit the $7 Giveaway which just opened at 10AM this morning.  Right now, my report is on page 23 (I just loaded it last night, so I’m at the back of the pack.  I’m testing positions ) This link opens in another tab so don’t worry, you won’t get lost.  I’m also being sneaky here.  I COULD just give you the link to this right here, but if you have to sign up for it, I know you’ll use it AND I’ll know who to send my announcement to when I open up the new site next week.  And I can stop bothering everybody else with Giveaway emails!

While you’re there - look around and see what other people are offering.  Even if you’re not interested, click on some of the offers and see how they have it set up and what they’re back end is, etc.

Now, Go Here and sign up for Paul’s Valentine’s Giveaway. It starts on Saturday February 13, so you don’t have a lot of time left.

While you’re signing up – The first page you see after you register will be the upsell page for the upgrade.  I don’t remember how much it is, but, if you take that upsell, you’ll be able to list 4 free gifts and 2 OTOs.  Do NOT do this unless you are ready for it.  It takes a lot of work to set up 4 different free gifts and even more work to set up those OTOs.  HOWEVER – If you feel froggy, then just go right ahead and leap, baby!

If you take a pass on that upsell, the next page you see will be the downsell.  It’s less expensive, and you get to list fewer offers, but it’s a better place to start if you’ve not done this before.

You CAN do in as a free contributor if you just want to try it out but you’ll see much better results if you at least take the downsell.

ALSO – AS SOON as you sign up, go to your profile page and enter your paypal info so you can get paid on any commissions you earn.  A lot of people forget to do this and then wonder why they’re not making any money on Giveaways.

When you get done signing up, Go Here - I have 7 Free Ebooks for you that you can use for Giveaway Gifts.  If I were you, I’d put a different cover on them if you have time.  If not, just use them as is.  I think each of them comes with a sales page and download page, too, so all you have to do is load these up and you’re ready to go.  You’re welcome!  I love you, too!

If you want to get in on the Valentine’s Giveaway but you DON’T want to use one of these books because your site isn’t about Internet Marketing – then just do it!  Use one of these books – or ALL of them – or use that Diet website I sent you in my email the other day, or use that Wedding site I sent you a few weeks ago, or pick up something at the Giveaway today that you can use – and join the Giveaway so you can see how they work! As with anything else in this crazy online world – you won’t learn unless you do it.  And why now get all the kinks out NOW so that when you DO decide on what you want to promote, you can get the most bang for your buck!
