I can always tell now when the Warrior Forum is down because my stats jump all over the place.  Out of the top 22 keyword phrases that people are using to find this blog, 15 of them have the words Warrior Forum in there somewhere.   It’s ironic isn’t it?  There are 87 published posts on this blog – on a plethora of topics, I might add – and the single, most read post is still Warrior Forum Down…Hacked…Sucks…Banned…Reasons Why…WTF!

I’ve also already received 2 emails from Warriors who are panicking because their WSOs aren’t selling.  So they’re resulting to actually WORKING to market their products and they’re sending out emails to tell me about the fabulous offer they have.  One of them is even going so far as to tell me that the reason his price is so low is because it’s for Warriors Only and that’s what Warriors do for each other – they give their products away almost for FREE.

Ah, well….if you read the above mentioned post you’ll know my feelings on Warriors, WSOs and the Warrior Forum in general – so no sense beating a dead horse.  On to Ezine…

Hey, Ezine! I Double-Dog-Dare Ya!

wendee

I’m still in Kentucky and that’s my mom’s dog, Wendee.  She’s a Miniature Schnauzer (Yeah, one of those yappy types) and she and Boo are best buddies.

Before I get started here, I’m asking everyone to please, after you read this post, Tweet it, bookmark it, email it, whatever you can do, so it will find it’s way back to Ezine.  I think they got some ’splainin’ to do! Read the rest of this entry

OK, OK, I’m here.  It’s been awhile…but I’m here.  And I’ve learned a few lessons this week.  I’ll get to that in a minute…

Generally, when I post to the dome, it’s about some marketing method I’m playing around with – article marketing or blogging or flipping sites, etc.  But this post is a little different.  After what I’ve just been through I think I’ve found a few questions that we all need to be asking ourselves about our marketing strategy in general.

I’ve had a pretty serious health problem rear it’s ugly head since I’ve been here in Kentucky and it’s kept me offline for over a week.  Don’t worry – it’s fixable.  And thank goodness it happened here instead of Florida.  The docs here are actually better than the docs in Florida believe it or not, so I’m getting the medical attention I need.

Happy Memorial Day to All of Our Readers!

Hey everyone, Flip here!  I hope that everyone is getting ready to head out for some great picnics, fun times with family and friends, and enjoy the beginning of a wonderful summer for all of us!

I just wanted to pop in and let you know that if you’ve been trying to reach Donna, she’s been a little bit under the weather.  Don’t think that she’s forgotten about you, because she hasn’t – you’ll be hearing from her soon.

Since Donna always posts one of her favorite videos at the end of her posts, and since one of my very favorite TV shows has been canceled, I’ll post a little tribute to Saving Grace – and plea to the powers that be to not cancel that show – I just love it!

foxesOK, I’m back.  I left my home in Fort Myers, Florida at 5PM on Thursday and drove straight through, after stopping to pick up my Aunt, all the way to Berea, KY.  15 hours exactly of driving time which required the use of approximately 5 cans of Redbull, three 5 hour and one 7 hour energy drinks.  It took 2 days to recover from the trip but I think everyone’s fine now – including Boo.  It’s cool and rainy here which really sucks when you’re used to Florida weather but the company more than makes up for it.  Having a good time visiting with aunts and cousins and just chatting on the deck.

I’m having a hard time finding a quiet place to work – actually I’m having a hard time concentrating on work with all the fun gossip that’s going on downstairs.  My mom’s house has a big loft upstairs that overlooks the main living area so I can hear everything they’re talking about down there and I keep sneaking downstairs to join in the conversation.

Plus – I have to smoke outside on the deck and all that REAL green grass and the ACTUAL trees are relaxing and distracting at the same time.

KY1I made it to Kentucky yesterday and my mom and my aunt are in the kitchen right now making eggs and bacon and bicuits and gravy – you know, traditional Italian fare.  So I’m gonna get this blog post out of the way before I start working today.

The Worm Turns and the Plot Thickens

If you read last Thursday’s post – This Thursday Update is on Time for a Change - toward the end I explained a little bit about being a Top Ten Author at Ezine and how that would benefit you.  You’ll also recall that I mentioned that the person who held the number one position in MY category has almost 3000 articles published and most of them are 300 words or less.

Wow!  I’m actually typing up the Thursday Update on Thursday morning!  That’s a sure sign SOMETHING’S gonna happen today!

I’m getting ready to head out to Kentucky to visit my mom so I wanted to make sure I get this post up now or it won’t be up for a few more days.  She lives in Berea, Kentucky which is this cute little college town right in the center of the state.  It’s all artsy-fartsy and it’s got this cute little downtown area like you see in the movies.  You’ll see it – I’m gonna do a Squidoo lens on it while I’m there I think.

Yesterday we talked about Article Marketing: How to Happily Write a World Class Money Sucking Article – It All Starts With a Killer Title and I said that the title was the first “most important thing you need to be concerned about when writing your article.  Well, it is when you actually get to writing the article, but before that, you need to know what you’re writing about.  You need to do your research – just as if you were blogging.

Not everyone sets up a blog or a website and then decides as an after thought that they’re going to use article marketing to promote it.  Some folks have such good results with their article marketing campaigns that they set them up as the primary means of promoting their product.  Either way, choosing what product you’re going to promote and how you’re going to promote it are key factors to consider.

There’s More Than One Way to Write an Article

Beamer M Anderson, EzineArticles.com Platinum Author

Until recently, I thought that all you had to do to write an article was just sit down and write it. You know – Get the keyword in the title, write an intro paragraph that asked a question and leads you on to the second paragraph, get your keywords in there, solve the problem and voila! An article!

Well, such is not the case ladies and gents.  I’ve learned more about article writing in the last week and a half then I care to mention.  Well, actually I don’t mind mentioning it and that’s why I’m writing this post this morning.  To let you in on some of the things I’ve learned – so you can write better articles, too. I’m tellin’ ya – I just finished talking to FlipDiva and the last 24 hours have been like Christmas around here.  I got my Ezine coffee mug and cute leather coaster in the mail today because I hit Platinum and I got a gift card from the folks at Micro Niche Finder because I won their Affiliate Spotlight! Is that too cool or what?!  A couple of other really great things have happened too, but I’m gonna save them for later in the post because I want to make sure you’re paying attention.

How are you doing with the Ezine HAHD Challenge?  I’ve set a personal goal of 200 articles and so far I’m only off by 3.  I think I can catch up next week.  Here’s the list of prizes.

EZINE TIP - We’re all always so caught up in link building and we just have to have those 2 links in the resource box with every article we publish.  But someone at Ezine suggested that they see better click through rates when they only use one link.  Apparently it looks less promotional.  I’m testing this on some of mine so I’ll let you know how it works.  It makes sense to ME but then I look at my articles differently then most.  I’m not using them for link building, although that’s definitely a bonus.  I actually want people to read my articles and click through.  So if you’re going for links then you’d definitely want to stick with 2.
