Why oh why do I keep doing this to myself?! I wonder if there’s some kind of word for people like me who keep tripping over all this neat stuff they want to try even though they know it’s going to take time and there are only so many hours in a day? The word Masochist comes to mind…or ADD…or just IDIOT probably works, too.
I love minisites. It probably sounds weird to those of you who only know Wordpress but I love working in HTML – I find it very relaxing. It’s also challenging and in the end it’s kind of neat to sit back and look at a page that you created out of coding instead of just uploading a zip file.
But I’m not getting anywhere near the topic at hand today so let’s move it along.

I’ve told you guys right from the start that I’m a caffeine freak. I think most writers are. Heck, I think most Internet Marketers are. I don’t know about you but I’m up and at my computer at all hours of the day and night. I’ts 1:44 AM right now! No, I haven’t been sitting here all day. I took a break for a few hours this afternoon and did some house work and took a little nap. But that leads me to today’s topic – Doubleshots or RedBull – What’s your poison?
I remember when RedBull came out. I was a bartender then and one of the other bartenders used to live on RedBull and vodka. At the time, I preferred MY vodka straight up but that’s a whole ‘nother story. I never really liked the taste of RedBull because it’s so sweet. But I did get hooked on Doubleshots – probably because I’m such a big coffee fan.
So here’s the thing. The 7-11 has been going back and forth on RedBull and Doubleshots. One week RedBull is on sale and the next week it’s Doubleshots. So I tried the RedBull a few weeks ago and now I can’t decide which one I like better so I just buy 2 of each everyday that way I’m not playing favorites.

Well, today is May 1 – the official start date for the Ezine Articles Hundred Articles in a Hundred Days Marathon Challenge, hereafter to be referred to as simply HAHD because I’ve already typed about 20,000 words today and I still have words to go before I sleep, words to go before I sleep….
Anyway, I hope you all get an article submitted today and I’ll be checking back from time to time to see how you’re all doing. I know I’ll get my article in today – one way or another. Actually, I’ve committed myself to a goal of 200 articles for the Challenge so we’ll see…
But enough of HAHD for the time being, let’s talk

Before we get started here, I need to take a minute and ask you all to do me a favor. Please send a Tweet to @MarkEThurston and send him a hug today. I’m not sure if he’ll be able to answer you because he’s at an IM conference somewhere this weekend. But just after he arrived at the conference he got word that Dempsey died.
Now, I know you don’t know Dempsey, and for me to say that Dempsey is a Dog is such an understatement I can’t even stand to type it. The word “Dog” is much to small to describe our furry best friends. Whoever named them should have come up with something a little more regal sounding, don’t you think? In fact, I think they should just wipe that puny little word from the dictionary and replace it with something like - “Man’s Best Friend, forever fuzzy and loyal, who will keep you warm at night, make you laugh all day long, comfort you when you’re down and bug the shit out of you when you’re too busy, willing to share your Ramen noodles when the dog food bag is empty, stalker of squirrels and friend to all geckos and protector for life Amen”
But if you’re a dog lover, you know even THAT isn’t enough. The only saving grace about the word Dog is that it’s God spelled backwards. Which sounds hokey when you say it out loud, but when you think about it, it makes the word Dog sound a lot better. Read the rest of this entry

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Of course, I’ve just always attributed that quote to my mother. That and “Your face is going to freeze like that!” and “Quit swallowing your gum! It stays in your stomach for 7 years!” and “Because I said so, that’s why!” And I can’t even remember the first time she said it to me, but, I guess, it doesn’t really matter WHEN she said it, or how many times I’ve heard it, the fact remains….
It still pisses me off!
Look, I understand doing research on the web when you’re trying to write an article or a blog post or something. It just makes sense. When you’re writing an article that requires facts and specific information, you want to make sure you get those facts straight. I mean, how much credibility would I have if I wrote an article about Christmas and told you it came around every year on December 29th?

You all know how I feel about the Ezine Articles HAHD Challenge. If not, read my post – 8 Reasons You Should Join The Ezine Articles HAHD Challenge. If you’ve already read it, then read on!
I was over at Ezine today submitting some of my own articles and I got to looking around to see if they announced the prizes yet for the Challenge. And no, they have not. But past prizes have included coffee mugs, certificates and free Premium Memberships to Ezine for a year. So it occurred to me – how cool would it be if I had a coffee mug to give away for a prize?! So, I spent my lunch time today at Cafe Press.

Only one week to go. Are you ready?
Only one week to go before the start of the Ezine Articles HAHD Challenge. Are you ready for it? If you’re not already in the habit of writing an article a day then it might take some planning and organization to get ready for this Challenge. Let me tell you how I handle this task and maybe it will help you get the ball rolling – or the pen writing.

It was like the shot heard round the web yesterday – “The Warrior Forum is down! The Warrior Forum is down!” Ppffffftttt! By the time I heard about it, it was 8:30 PM so I went to check it out. It was running very slow, but I managed to get into one thread. I can’t get back into it right now or I’d copy and paste it exactly but the one thread I managed to get into went something like this:
Warrior 1: Having trouble getting onto the forum today? Is anyone else experiencing trouble?
Warrior 2: Me, too. Probably the most productive day I’ve ever had.

How Much Link Juice are You Getting From Your
Articles, Profiles and Linkwheels??
Do you think that every article that you submit to Ezine gets indexed? How about Squidoo Lenses? Blogger Blogs? Do you put up a nice little army of feeder links to your money site, and sit back and assume that they all get indexed? Well, we all know what happens when we ass-ume, don’t we??
You might be surprised to learn that even if you create a blog on Blogger, it might never get indexed! And guess who owns Blogger?? And if you put up a Squidoo lens with links back to your site, even if the lens gets indexed, do all of the links inside the lens get indexed? I bet that you assumed that they did! Well Hello There! Welcome to the Battledome!
We’ve had a lot of new people join us this week and I just wanted to take this opportunity to welcome everybody and tell you to just feel free to pick any seat you like. They’re all ringside seats so you always have the best possible view. And if you keep an eye out for Boo, he’ll be around shortly to find out what color you’d like him to paint it for you. Keep in mind, dogs are color blind so you might TELL him you want it to be blue, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what you’re going to get.
